How long until the last person hears?

Put in the size of your group, how many calls one person should make, and how long a call takes. The answer comes from the same code that builds Ringround trees.

Dialing, saying hello, reading the message, and a goodbye. Three minutes is a fair guess.

Example: 30 people, 3 calls each, 3 min a call

A round is one step down the tree: round 1 is the people the starter calls, round 2 the people they call, and so on. Everyone starts their own calls as soon as they hear, so rounds overlap in time and a later round can finish before an earlier one.

How it is worked out: each person goes to whoever can call them soonest, nobody makes more than 3 calls, and every call takes 3 minutes. Real calls run long or short, and some people do not answer; a practice run tells you your group’s real number.
